Q-Day Is Coming

I'm pretty sure most of us are unprepared

Over a decade ago, I began writing a novel called The Amortals, which is finished but as-yet unpublished. The storyline was prompted by two unrelated yet burning questions keeping me awake at night:

• First, what (or who) caused the 2009-2010 financial meltdown?

and

• Second, how will the advent of quantum computing change everyday life?

What I came up with was
